ABOUT THE ARTIST

Hola mi amor!

I'm Isabel and surprisingly not Spanish (at least we can't confirm that). Born and raised in NY by two adopted parents I always felt my roots were a mystery while simultaneously feeling deeply connected to all things. Not knowing who my ancestors were or where to point to on a map when asked "where are you from?" it left me certain about one thing.

The more firmly I stood in this understanding the more outraged I had become to learn that so many times throughout history humans have hurt other humans based on the color of their

As a child, I couldn't compute it and therefore I felt such anger, frustration, and ultimately deep sorrow. And as legend goes, it was in this darkness that a kernel of light was born.

 

It was desire.

 

A desire to help re-mind my fellow humans of our oneness and our true nature- love. Since then I've been directly and indirectly making creations, whether it be through the medium of words, paint, music or photography that invites people to sense that interconnectedness we are all so desperately trying to feel.
